I have always been a fervent supporter of a circular economy and believe that the world, as a whole, can truly make progress only when there is a fine balance between economic and environmental growth. On this premise, I joined BLS Ecotech in 2013 with a vision to devise sustainable solutions for a cleaner tomorrow.
BLS Ecotech is a recycling organization that produces recycled polyester fiber by using PET plastic waste. With Polyester fiber accounting for the majority of the global demand of man-made fiber, the manufacturing of virgin polyester fiber is causing substantial environmental degradation as its production requires a considerable amount of fossil fuels, and PET plastic has always been at the helm of the global plastic waste crisis. At BLS Ecotech, we saw these two problems as an opportunity to create an eco-friendly product that can cater to diverse industries for years to come.
Having consulted numerous foreign recycling organizations with their planning and business strategy, I used my on-ground experience to orchestrate BLS Ecotech’s domestic growth and helped the organization to grasp the right opportunities to go global.
Being an eco-minded entrepreneur, I have always had the desire to create the right conditions for businesses, irrespective of their sector, to operate in a sustainable manner, and in sync with the recycling industry. This desire led to the birth of EcoEx, a unique digital platform for stakeholders of the plastic waste management value chain.
Through EcoEx, I aspire to propel India’s waste management industry towards self-sufficiency and allow business owners to fulfill their environmental responsibilities seamlessly and turn their business into a sustainable operation.
