For Patients and Healthcare Professionals, Announcing PCNOK
PCNOK, which stands for “Patient Care Network of Oklahoma,” is a group that aids patients in locating medical professionals in their area. There are 19 different medical facilities in northeast Oklahoma and southwest Kansas that can be accessed through this system. The advantages of PCNOK and its operation will be discussed in this article.
The Mechanisms of PC-NOK
Care for patients in Oklahoma is coordinated and of high quality thanks to PCNOK’s collaboration with CHCs and CBCHOs. Since its inception in 2014, it has become one of the largest patient care networks in the United States. The network offers resources on a wide range of health issues, such as cancer, diabetes, heart health, reproductive health, and vaccines.
Actions Taken in Partnership by PCNOK
By pooling resources, working together on research, and educating one another, the network is able to boost the standard of care for their patients. Better service coordination and patient outcomes are possible thanks to members’ ability to work together on research aimed at enhancing the quality of patient care. To ensure that all Oklahomans, no matter where they live, have access to high-quality healthcare, the network also provides training for new healthcare providers.
Providers can better coordinate patient care using PCNOK’s electronic medical records, shared office spaces, telemedicine, and electronic prescribing. Using these resources, doctors can facilitate better communication between themselves and other healthcare professionals, allowing patients to receive more coordinated care.
Advantages of Membership
Healthcare professionals in Oklahoma who are interested in joining a collaborative group to better their patients’ care and quality of life are encouraged to apply for membership in PCNOK. The alliance provides its members with tools, guidance, and opportunities to grow their skills. By working together, hospitals in Oklahoma’s 77 counties can increase both the quantity and quality of care they offer to their communities.
